On a budget: Jewelry Board

Ever had jewelry pile up and not been able to find anything?  Me too!  Money’s not on my side right now, so I decided to make a jewelry organizer instead of buying one.  Inspired my friend Amy’s push pin board- turned- jewelry board, I decided to make a jewelry board of my own.

Here’s how:

1. Buy or collect materials:

  • Push pin or white board (got mine from a dollar store)
  • Decorative paper  (had some leftover from paper crafts)
  • Push pins or magnets (found some in drawers at home)
  • Glue

2. Eyeball and cut strips of decorative paper, thick enough to cover the board’s frame, and glue it to the frame.  I used wood glue.

3. Attach the decorative ribbon or string, then use the push pins or magnets to hang your jewelry, and you are done!

* Alternate uses: paper organizer or photo board (criss-cross ribbon along the board and slide in the photos)
